British Legion versus Indian

By Gary Zaboly.
"Drawn back in 1978 for an article in the Riverdale Press announcing the reenactment of the Aug. 31 1778 engagement between Stockbridge Mahican Indians and the forces of Banastre Tarleton and John Greaves Simcoe, in today's Van Cortlandt Park, New York City. Badly outnumbered, most of the Indians were overrun by Tarleton's mounted Legion. A cairn in the park marks the burial site of most of the killed Indians."
