They canoe up and down the shores of Lake Huron and camp on the beach sleeping in their big lake (or Gitchi Goomi) canoes.<br /> Metro Beach is a large park on Lake St. Clair very near Detroit. Inside the visitor center there is a large mural depicting the expedition to explore the Michigan Territory.
