Prinz Ludwig Dragoons

This Bruswick unit served dismounted in the Saratoga campaign and was a large part of the British forces at the Battle of Bennington (see below) - more info and right picture (by GA Embleton) here. When the unit went into captivity their broadswords were issued to the American 2nd Dragoons.

Reenactment
Noone seems to reenact the dragoons which is strange as dismounted dragoons are usually quite popular but there are two Brunswick groups on either sides of the 'pond'.
