Of course if you want the ultimate craft for your French and Indian hobbies then I suppose you must have a Radeau. Basically a floating fortress - cannons on a raft powered by oars and sail. Two of these were scuttled in Lake George as part of a mass scuttling of many boats as a means of putting them into cold storage for the next years campaign. Read all about the Land Tortoise here.
