German muskets of the Revolution
Interesting article on the flintlocks used by the German troops in the Revolution. Image is of the Von Bose (originally Von Trumbach) regiment armed with a Brown Bess. I have got interested in the Prussian 1740 muskets that are made in India. They are cheap and look the part. Basically Hessian and Brunswick muskets were lookalikes of the Potsdam 1740 and some may have even been armed with them. Read about them here
