Howard Giles on his reenactment nostalgia Facebook group has noted that it is 25 years since the first Kirby Hall. This was a big multi-era reenactment event that spanned from Romans to WW2. I attended the first one manning a recruiting stall for the French and Indian war group I had started (see pic). The following year we were invited to do a display. Good times.
