Toy Revolutionary war soldiers

Bit of nostalgia for you - do you remember this ad? Was in the DC/Marvel comics back in the day. Fired my imagination and I remember wishing I could have this set. I have subsequently seen the figures in the flesh and they aren't that good. But that's the appeal of these old adverts - they promised the world. See the figures here

Revwar in the UK

There was a major event for the Revolution this last weekend at the American Museum Bath. I am kicking myself for not attending but there you go - the photo is part of a set on 'Redcoats and Revolutionaries' Facebook page if you want to see more. The pic above is of the Lexington Minutemen Company one of the UK's newest groups and as you can see they cut quite a dash.
