I was looking for the study of Redcoats by Sandby and came across this site by Terry Gruber dedicated to the history of this period and uniform of the Virginia Regiment which is a very good study of the period's military fashions. A lot of people think that the SYW redcoat looked the same as the mid-18thc 1742 look but it was subtly different - almost on its way to the Revwar look with different gaiters and a whole different profile.
