If I was trying to show what the good people and garrison of Carrickfergus might have looked like in 1760 I would go to the works of the Sandbys - Thomas and Paul. Mostly architecture and landscape artists they occasionally crytallise the look of people at that time.Tuesday, 18 August 2009
