St John's Newfoundland 1762


A small campaign that might make a good wargame is the French attack and British recapture of St John's. Read about the British order of battle in William Amherst's journal here.

French forces included the regiment de Montrevel (image and caption),
Image of the British capture of Signal Hill from here. French forces consisted of Royal Artillerie and detachments of the La Marine, Penthiéve, Beauvoisis and Montrevel regiments.
