"First test print with the new British models. I am going to rescale the muskets a little, they look too small. The first batch will be around 54mm to match the Barzso miniatures. Later on, I will start rescaling them to match W. Britain and J.J. Designs toy soldiers. The new poses will start this week. "

Mike says "Model is finished. I will start working on another marching pose. After that a firing line and then some other poses. Plus, a Sgt model and later on an Officer. Maybe a drummer and Flag bearer at some point." https://warhorseminiatures.com/ or find them on Facebook.
It's Throwback Thursday!
Today, we travel back to 2014 when the recreated Garrison of Fort Dobbs provided living history interpretation at Chimney Rock at Chimney Rock State Park.
Chimney Rock was used as the filming location for many of the iconic scenes in the 1992 film "The Last of the Mohicans."

SIMMERING RESENTMENTS THREATEN THE ALLIANCE
Limited edition collector’s print. 250 print edition
October 27, 1759. Captain John Stuart and approximately seventy men of the South Carolina Provincial Regiment (known as the Buffs, because of their uniforms’ facings of buff-colored cloth) arrive at Fort Loudoun to shore up the beleaguered garrison and deliver much-needed supplies of meat, flour, salt, ammunition, and clothing. Stuart’s arrival seemed to herald a new hope for peace, but the situation proved to have deteriorated to a point of no return.

The Anglo-American Indian Wars 1607-1678
Fascinating history of the early Indian wars.
This a great book. It's not very often that you get a book on the Indian Wars of the 17th century. It is not for the faint-hearted as a lot of the events seem cruel and inhuman. The religious beliefs of the Pilgrim settlers were used as justification for quite monstrous behaviour wrapped up in the Old Testament. But it is a story that needs to be known - it is history and we can learn from this book. If you have an interest in the history of New England and its native populations then I recommend this book. It covers among other conflicts the Pequot War, King Philip's War and the first Abenaki war. It is a worthwhile addition to your collection if you have an interest in the wars that made the U.S.
