 When we were starting in the mid 90s Joe Lee's artwork was everywhere. Did a lot for The Forces of Montcalm and Wolfe and Heritage Books.

SIMMERING RESENTMENTS THREATEN THE ALLIANCE

Limited edition collector’s print. 250 print edition

October 27, 1759. Captain John Stuart and approximately seventy men of the South Carolina Provincial Regiment (known as the Buffs, because of their uniforms’ facings of buff-colored cloth) arrive at Fort Loudoun to shore up the beleaguered garrison and deliver much-needed supplies of meat, flour, salt, ammunition, and clothing. Stuart’s arrival seemed to herald a new hope for peace, but the situation proved to have deteriorated to a point of no return.

 Completed between 1764 and 1768 this picture is usually ascribed as General Johnson Saving a Wounded French Officer from the Tomahawk of a North American Indian

Wolfe's Army May/Embleton 1974

This was the first book I had on the American theatre of the Seven Years War. A real eye opener. Revised in the late 90ss but this edition has sentimental connections to my youth.

The Regiment arrived in North America in 1757. They participated in the disastrous assault at Fort Carillon (Ticonderoga) in 1758, the capture of Fort Niagara in 1759, and Fort Lévis in 1760
