2nd Canadian Regiment

Many years ago in the UK some people started recreating this Revwar patriot regiment also known as Congress's Own. They didn't complete it, sadly. Be good to see this unit recreated - anyone doing it in the US? Colonel was Moses Hazen someone who learned their trade under Robert Rogers in the SYW. Light company wore a leather cap.

'Nemesis' of Cresap's Rangers

The other week we had the story of a black man in Roger's Rangers and today we have the story of a man who had a mountain named after him 'Negro's Mountain'. He was apparently a big man with a vision of his own demise. He saved the famous frontiersman Thomas Cresap. Read about him here.
There is an interesting article that is a timeline of Maryland forces during the SYW which mentions references to Cresap's Rangers raiding in Indian attire here.
