Sainte-Thérèse Raid 1760

 The Sainte-Thérèse Raid was a military raid on the town of Sainte-Thérèse in French Canada conducted by British elite forces known as Rogers' Rangers that took place during the French and Indian War from 3 to 18 June 1760. Led by Robert Rogers the raid was a pre-emptive strike ordered by Major General Jeffery Amherst as a prelude to his three pronged attack on Montreal the following month.

A special Saturday evening tour of the Siege of Carillon will allow visitors to see British & American provincial soldiers building cannon batteries under fire as French gunners lobbed cannon shots in the twilight of Fort Carillon. **limited tickets, pre-registration required**

Each day tells a different story as visitors see the burning fuse of the fort’s destruction, the final French sortie at the British lines, and evacuation by water in an action-packed Sunday!

The Bloody Field of Fame

 Originally published in the mid 19th century, this edited, combined, and updated version of Elias Darnell and William Atherton's journals of General Winchester's ill-fated River Raisin campaign, shines a light on a forgotten, yet important moment of American history. Though the War of 1812 is little remembered, this conflict solidified the United States as a sovereign nation, and affirmed the treaties and promises of the American Revolution.
