Massacre at Fort Mims

From the wiki. The Fort Mims massacre occurred on 30 August 1813, when a force of Creek people, belonging to the "Red Sticks" faction under the command of Peter McQueen and William Weatherford "Red Eagle", his cousin by marriage, killed hundreds of settlers, mixed-blood Creeks, and militia
The Fort Mims Restoration Association has some useful stuff including photos of recent reenactments. This brilliant image is from Sharon Blair's photos from 2oo8
This history page has lots of information, maps and images on the massacre and this page on the Creek War has some useful information too.
