Pathfinder (1996)

French title La légende de Pathfinder
Another depiction of Fenimore Cooper's legendary (and out of copyright) character was in this movie starring Kevin Dillon. Nothing much to recommend this movie - if I remember correctly there were sequences shot at Fort Niagara and Ste Marie among the Hurons but I am not sure.
Not worth tracking down (ouch!) - also not to be confused with a later film of the same title.
