Artist unknown, Homme Iroquois, late 18th century, Musée National des Beaux-Arts du Québec.
The pullover type frock was still in use in the 20th century. Without frocking it was still being worn in the 19th century. Yes it was definately still in use during the revolution. It is a work frock, worn in England, France & Europe & taken to the New World.
