TUCKASEEGEE CHRONICLES: Historical Novels of the Great Smoky Mountains

A tale of discovery, acceptance, war, love, and loyalty.....

Set in America's first frontier during the French and Indian War, the TUCKASEEGEE CHRONICLES (1750-1764) are a long series of short novels, a multigenerational saga following the Scottish MacNeills as they interact with the Cherokee during a time of political upheaval when the Cherokee Nation is at war with other Indian tribes and has become a pawn in the conflict between England and France for control of the Atlantic seaboard

Seven Cities of Gold (1955)

Just had this nice email from Kyle Dalton
I just came across this movie about Spanish California I thought you'd find entertaining.

Although it takes place in the 1760s and 1770s, the Spanish all wear inexplicable conquistador helmets and are accompanied by what appear to be dragoons wearing breastplate armor. Also, the clearly 19th century stagecoach re-purposed for the Spanish officers do little to help their case. It would also be remiss not to mention the entire silly notion of the Spanish being convinced of cities of gold in Alta California this late in their colonial period.
Even so, good for a laugh!
