Regiment de la Reine by Louis Frégier

This is a rare treat - an artist of real talent painting some F and I images and from the French perspective. I saw this on Jean-Luc Galliano's Facebook page.

Le régiment de la Reine au Canada, 1755-1760, par Louis Frégier, peintre titulaire de l'Armée

  1. Great view of the old growth forest. I would love to have seen America's woodlands during that time.

    1. I recall reading that a portion of the Hoosier National Forest is old growth. It is called Pioneer Mothers memorial forest. Also, if you would like to see an old growth pine forest there is Hartwick Pines state forest near Grayling, Mich.
