There is supposedly one organization East of the Bay Area that does an American rifleman or militia impression, but I do not know how to contact them.

The more prominent colonial period in California is the American Revolution. I'll shamelessly self-promote my own organization: the 29th Regiment of Foot, Basset's Company at www.29thfoot.org
Other colonial groups in California include the 23rd Royal Welsh Fusiliers, 33rd Regiment of Foot, 1st Delaware, and Morgan's Rifles.
