This us part of a series of six paintings in the National Army Museum painted by the same artist who did the famous depictions of the fighting at the Chew House and Paoli. They depict primarily the 25th Regiment of Foot between 1769 and 1772. In some if the earlier paintings there is an interesting mix of pre-1768 Warrant fashions and those that conform to the new order. They were painted while the 25th was part of the garrison of Minorca.
