American warfare 1690-1835 in popular culture, art, in miniature and in wargames, through Living History and in movies.
Dear Somerset, What do you think? Light infantry ? No boots, otherwise I'd say light dragoons.
75th or 82nd Foot? I can't find much about either, but both were POW-associated units in the late 70s/early 80s.
This is an officer of the 7th Regiment Of Foot (Royal Fusiliers) c. 1784. The 7th's light company were wearing cut hat caps late in the American War, and adopted the Tarleton helmet at some point after Yorktown.
