ReplyDeleteI have the director's cut but it is still a flawed film with a magnificent battle scene. Director seems to have an axe to grind with the officer class as they are portrayed as cruel or perverted. Aristocrats: bad; lower classes: good. Still worth a viewing in spite of the agenda.
maybe that's why it did badly in the US
