I picked up a copy of this from a charity (thrift) shop today. Two pounds. Published in 1994. An Illustrated History of North American Indians.
I remember back in the 90s I used to frequent the library at the American Museum Bath and they had a copy of this. Used to photocopy bits to take home.
A book that grew from an eight-hour TV series, this is the epic and unforgettable story of the history, lore, legends, and legacy of North American Indians. With a highly accredited author and over 485 paintings, woodcuts, drawings, and photographs--329 in four-color--this oversized volume addresses a subject of never-ending fascination, providing detailed information about the lives, culture, and heritage of hundreds of North America's Indian nations. Never before has this subject been so thoroughly and deeply explored from the perspective of the Native American viewpoint.
